As a dance record, Miami Horror deserve credit for re-imagining current 80's-influenced synthpop and attempting to make something more appealing and engaging. Using funk guitars (Summersun) and brass hooks (I Look to You) many tracks from Illumination are perfect as dance pieces - the two mentioned tracks being the best examples from the album.
